How to Import Sticky Notes From Windows 7 to 10

Hi.
I am having issues migrating/converting the old sticky notes (.snt) to the new one (.sqlite).
The normal procedure for doing this is...
2) On Windows 10, paste that file to AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\Legacy (having manually created the Legacy folder beforehand)
3) Rename StickyNotes.snt to ThresholdNotes.snt
4) Open Sticky notes and voila.
I'm having issues at step 4, in that I don't get a voila. The Sticky Notes app opens but it's totally blank so the conversion/migration never took place. Please help!
Particulars:Windows 10, 1709 (build 16299.125)
Sticky Notes 2.0.5.0
I actually got this working. I had to completely reset the sticky notes app beforehand (Step 2), then do the whole shabam I did before. Steps below...
2) Go to PC Settings --> Apps & Features --> Sticky Notes --> Advanced Options then Reset.
3) Go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_8wekyb3d8bbw\LocalState
4) Create Folder within \LocalState called "Legacy"
5) Copy the Notes.snt to the Legacy folder and rename it "ThresholdNotes.snt"
Thanks for everyone's input regardless!

To what Windows 10 Version are you migrating it to?
Do you seriously conduct business out of STICKY NOTES???
Just peel them off and stick them on the new monitor.
Really, if you just need to keep notes, move to Onenote or something cloud-based like Google Keep. I doubt you'll find a good way to transfer these things. A sticky note, by its very nature and intent, is temporary. Migrating them shouldn't be a thing, which is why you're having difficulty. You're now at the point of copy/pasting from one system to another. Just be a little pickier about the longevity of the solution.
OP's question was almost as scary as the one time somebody asked me if I can backup their recycle bin for them, that if they were to lose the information they keep in there, they don't know what they would do... :HUGE-FACEPALM:

I was thinking these exact same things

Sticky Notes in Windows 7 was a magnificent tool, and I came to rely on it for TODO lists, tracking little pieces of information, etc.
The rewrite for Win 10 removed almost all of the functionality that a lot of people had come to depend on (Bullets, font sizes, indenting, keyboard shortcuts, size and placement onscreen not maintained through shutdown, etc.).
Sticky Notes was AWESOME... for jotting down temporary information in an extremely quick and efficient manner.
Notepad++ actually does this better in my opinion.

Yes, that will do it, the file was locked out.
